I love this post.
My favorite reason not to use twitter: "You don't see the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise engaged in anything analogous to tweeting, do you?" -James Hrynyshyn. 'nuff said? I think so.
Seriously, why do we need yet another way to get news? If you feel like you have something to say, then start a blog. If it's interesting, then I'll probably find it and read it. If it's not... well... have you seen blogger.com, wordpress.com or livejournal.com lately? You won't be alone.

As interesting as I think I am, I don't think that I'm interesting enough for anybody to read my "tweets".
I totally agree with you ;)
I agree with Lance CJ. And from reading the "tweetings" of others, even a few famous sorts I actually thought might have something interesting to say in 140 ch (but generally don't), I reckon we're actually in good company.
Inre the Iranian elections and Twitter as a "news source" I think the case has been overstated. As I understand it, it's simply that Twitter was the most difficult outlet to censure relative to blog providers and other networking sites. Something can certainly be learned from that, but 140 ch news is not terribly informative.
